Starting with the battery, attach one piece of copper foil to the positive terminal of the battery. Then, attach the other piece of copper foil to the negative terminal of the battery. This creates the foundation of the circuit.

Next, take the light bulb and attach one piece of copper foil to its metal base. This will be connected to the positive terminal of the battery. Then, attach the other piece of copper foil to the metal top of the light bulb. This will be connected to the negative terminal of the battery.

Now that the circuit is set up, you can test it out to make sure it works. Connect the two pieces of copper foil that are connected to the light bulb to each other.
